Cause too few information in the Internet regarding the hardware compatibility with Linux SuSE I will post the information here about my hardware tested devices.
The first will be USB to serial port converter. If U need connect to SuSE RS232 Serial interface device you can buy "ATEN USB to SERIAL (DB9) CONVERTER UC-232A" and be happy.

That was checked on my SuSE 9.3 version and it works fine without any drivers. Just PLUG&PLAY.
